Episode 69: The Park Monster

Mystery Category: Cryptids / Urban Legends

The Story: In 1974, a suburban park in Columbus, Indiana, became the site of a town-wide monster hunt. Multiple witnesses described a green-tinged, hulking figure lurking in the woods of Mill Race Park—a "Bigfoot" sighting that occurred not in the deep wilderness, but right in the heart of a community.

Public parks are the people’s playground — but they’re also, quite possibly, home to some unusual residents.

Mill Race parkgoers in Columbus, Indiana were probably not expecting to come face-to-face with a Bigfoot. But then again, who ever is?
